The roller I recently bought sat for a long time and over time built up a lot of tree debris and dirt under the exterior door trim. This is the piece(s) that are not rubber, but the hard black plastics that run along the door/window.

How would one go about removing those?

 

Top of outside door molding is called the Drip molding. Remove a screw forward adn rearward and then with a pick remove the grommet on the rear. Then slide the whole molding rearward.

Bottom of outside door is called the Beltline molding. Lower the window and swing the power mirror outward. Cover the mirror housing with a protective blanket. The molding is held in with a metal clip and nylon clips. Starting at the rear carefully pry in and up to disengage the clip. NOTE - I have never sucessfully removed the beltline WITHOUT breaking the nylon clips. So be ready to order a new beltline.

Yeah, I understand the part about breaking these little parts. I removed the interior door seal and I can't tell you how many time I ripped it trying to put it back in each little plastic hook...

 

The interior door seal is very easy to remove and install. When you take it off remember that the small white clips are oval in size, so gently pull the rubber seal toward you and lift slightly. It will come off one side of the clip, then it will slide off the other. Again, use the dental pic to remove the clips. Pull up the clip and use the pic to push in the little expander part.

When installing the seal, install the clips into the rubber seal beforehand and have an assistant line it up while you push them in.
