AB Exhaust sound change

Hey guys,

Im new to the 7 scene, been having a couple issues with mine but thats another thread!

Ive noticed my exhaust note changes pretty significantly after about 4000rpm.

It goes much louder and a slightly higher pitch.

I know it seems dumb but it this normal?

FD with downpipe, midpipe and exhaust with an Apexi intake

exhaust sound

4000 rpm is about when your secondary turbo kicks in. More air, more exhast flow, etc change the sound. Unless you have a boost leak or mechanical problem the sound change is normal.

Do you have a boost guage installed?

it is probably as ronarndt described, but if you revving high with light throttle + no boost and getting a tone change, could be something else..

if you are at stock boost levels make sure the boost pattern is correct ie.. 10-8-10 psi
