exhaust questions...

just wondering...

i have a dp and mp and dual n1 currently... i usually hear a few pops when i shift at a high rpm... one time i got 98 octane and it sounded like it was shooting massive fireballs... or perhaps it was because it was colder at night when i was driving...

i wish i could see my car's *** when i drive...

can anyone tell me if higher octane will result in more backfiring?

and how do i clean/polish my exhaust? im selling it soon...

It is possible higher octane rated fuel will backfire more. It is more resistant to ignition so more of it may be left in the combustion chamber when the exhaust port opens, and it can then burn in the exhaust system.

To clean a SS exhaust, you need an aggressive metal polish/cleaner. You can find these at places that do metal railings. You will need to use rubber gloves.

if it was polished already and it's just nasty, try never dull or brasso.
