Exhaust note?
Just wondering from those of you that have gone from the stock cat to an aftermarket high-flow cat if there is a dramatic change in the exhaust sound? I have a 3" downpipe going to the stock cat and exiting to an aftermarket muffler and I love the sound and don't want it to change. My stock cat has over 90K miles on it and I'm not sure it's good for much more.
Yep, it'll get a good bit louder, but not too bad with a good high-flow cat. You'll also pick up quite a bit of power, and I hope you have an ECU and/or good boost control, because the boost will want to come up on you once you open the exhaust up.

It should still be okay though. I don't think boost spike/creep will be an issue as long as you're not running a straight-through midpipe w/no cats.
On a related side-note: I actually have a Bonez Hi-Flow Cat for sale with very low mileage (Less than 6000). PM me if interested...
