Aloha guys! I just went with a customer to buy a 93' R1. It was described as AWSOME running and body. When I got there it didn't idle and would hardly start. I looked around a bit and found the boost level sensor hose had popped off. Put that back on and idle improved, but is still low.(no smoke)It has a exhaust leak sound by the turbo. Maybe the sec. air inj. ? Gasget leak, exhaust, or intake leak? when i drove it , it smoked and stumbled as the secondary turbo kicked in.( big black smoke) It improved a bit as i drove but still doesn't feel rite. Could this be contributed to the boost level sensor problem i found? Thanks for the brainstorms! I have a 94' R2 with single conversion right away so I'm lacking the twin knowledge. Thanks again

 

Vacuum leak somewhere probably.
