I'm almost ready to order my clutch, just want to get some more info before i decide. I know when buying a clutch they are advertised as torque to the flywheel. I have a R85 single turbo and blitzzed did 561 rwhp and 445 lb ft torque on a dyno
which i should be some where around that at 27 lbs of boost. So my question is that 445 lb of torque is to the wheels, what would my torque be at the flywheel?

I plan on driving my car on the streets in town with a lot of stop and go. I like the Exedy twin disc clutch at $1600 cause it seems to be good on the streets. And i heard the ACT extreme or Heavy duty pressure plate with a 6 puck spring disc would be a good option also. Out of these two clutches which one would have a longer life span? I will drag the car also which i know hurts the life of the clutch.

I can buy like 3 act clutches for the price of Exedy, but doing a clutch job isn't fun and want something that will last longer to avoid frequent changing.

Also which clutch will give me the best launch?

 

imo the Exedy Twin-disc and it's easier to drive on the street.

 

Last I checked, they are made by the same company - Daiken clutch.

If you get the equivalent Exedy as ACT, you'll get the same thing.

If I were you with that amount of power I'd get the twin plate.
