Excessive oil control carrier wear

Has anybody seen this kind of wear on a brand new oil control ring carrier. Engine has just been built and has only done 56 miles. Pulled motor as we had a lot of smoke coming out of exhaust. Did a few tests and confirmed leading rear had oil coming out so presumed oil control ring had pinched but these looked ok but the rear carrier didn't

why isn't it worn evenly? is it flat? how did the spring look? was the spring the correct one? installed the right way up? were all the oil rings worn like that or just the one? what did you have for lunch?

I don't know which is what I'm trying to find out. They were all new Atkins carriers and Vitoria seals, seals appear to be ok.
This is the only one that has worn unevenly, I had chicken and rice for lunch 😏
I honestly can't remember the springs but presume they were installed correctly

Ports are too big or end play is too tight. If it just that one ring its probably just that one port. Porting inward will cause the metal oil control ring to scrap over the port, wear out prematurely, and start pushing oil. Installing springs incorrectly would allow the ring to spin causing much more wear and damage than that, unless you put in 2 springs or something.

I'd need a better resolution pic but it looks like you may have ported into the oil control ring path. Also is that a crack in the bridge?
