Yep. We pull motors and break them down in one day and rebuild them the next day and install them. 2 Day turnaround on rebuilt motors

Sorry, I didn't have any time to get any pics together. I was too busy rebuilding his motor so he could race it two days later.

do you understand the concept of seating bearings and seals?

sure the motor will run, and hold boost....but the long term results will be minimal

because you're clearly wrong.....how many miles have your motors had put on them? as opposed to expert engine builders who have been doing it for years....i'll stay tuned to see how long these "BSC" motors last

how do you guys do a rebuild for only $1800. just the gaskets and seals from the dealer is already around $1500. i'm curious cause that's a great price, i don't see how you can even make money from a rebuild.

I will just comment here: I talked with Peter Ferrell (who may or may not be liked by all, but still knows his ****) and he recommended little if any breakin period, as do many of the people from the shop. Maybe a bit more for a NEW engine... He also recommended any old dino oil. He's been doing it for a while, and I tend to think that he would know what goes and doesn't. I got a rebuild from Eric. Along with the upgraded turbos. Soon as my fuel setup gets here from NJ I'll assemble the car and drive straight to the dyno for tune. That's my break in. I would hope any parts included with a rebuild get the heat and cooling treatment they need during assembly. As long as it's been warmed up fully (if that even really matters) I'm out to tear it up. I don't remember if break in is a factor in the warranty...So I might have to re-look...

This price is for a block rebuild only. If you want me to pull the motor/break it down/rebuild it/assemble everything/install the motor it you will be looking at 3,000.

A block rebuild?

What exactly do you replace when you do this? New apex seals?
