the AEM has nothing over the PFC except datalogging. THis is a HUGE plus. However, you can now buy datalogging for the PFC too. which brings it up to stil less than AEM. Also, PFC is a ot easier to use adn has larger support. I woudl go with PFC hands down. AEM from whatI hear is very complicated(relatively speaking)

AEM also does not have commander (please correct ifg wrong) so you HAVE to have laptop, with PFC you can use both. Look at it this way, i fyou just wanted to use power FC withou commander and get laptop PFC is about 750$, +250 for Datalogging. AEM is around 1400$ you save big money with PFC, period.

Good Question Man!!!

I am in the same predicament! I am getting a new ported engine, and eventually full exhaust, cold air, boost control, and upgraded intercooler, so I will DEFINATELY need some sort of Engine management system. I have heard good things about the PowerFC, and like MOST A'PEXi products, but I can't help but wonder whether the AEM computer system will be better(easier to tune, operate, have more functions). By the way...does anyone know how expensive the AEM unit is? I guess what we are looking for is a comparo-test. Have any of you guys in Japan seen anything like this in the "RX-7 Magazine," or any other publications?
Thanks alot, Kevin (KEMRX7@aol.com / AIM--->KEMRX7)

For the price of the AEM, I think I'd rather get the HKS FCON V Pro. Especially since I can get my hands on the software.
