every day driver?

I am 19 I have an 88 model. It's my only car and a daily driver, I wouldn't think twice about getting in that car tomorrow and driving it California. I'm Georgia and I often go all over the state and down to Florida. It's like any other car. If you take car of it and do all routine maintenence, it's a great car. Just make sure the one you get was treated as well as your going to treat it.

im just getting into rotaries, but i learn really fast. im 15, and looking to buy my first car, and am wondering if an almost stock rx-7 would be an alright daily driver. if i did anything to it, it would probably be to change out the intercooler and the radiator for aftermarket pieces since i live in vegas. i would also maybe put an exhaust system and intake on there too. dont tell me not to get it because im only 15 and wouldnt know about rotaries, tell me if i shouldnt get it because its a bad daily driver.
if i dont go with the rx-7, i will probably just build my nova to be a street car, not a race only car.

i've had my FD for two years, and it's always been my daily driver. i will say though, that since changing jobs to one MUCH closer to home, it definately does not like short trips (i knew that within the first week, though).
at least twice a week i go out on the highways or backroads and open it up, just to let it stretch its legs, so to speak, and every time i can tell a difference in how it runs the next day.
if all you make are short, 5-10 minute drives, you will HATE a 3rd gen. Going out on a saturday to run a bunch of errands sucks, as each time you come out, it's harder to start - although I do have a leaky injector, so that doesn't help. i have an escort for such days
don't get me wrong, i LOVE this car! but don't do it if you don't have something else to fall back on, and don't do it if you don't have a few thousand laying around "just in case." i also agree with a previous post; start out with a 2nd gen, and go from there. that's what i did, and i knew what i was getting myself into when i bought a 3rd gen.
