The Rob Robinette diagram is for the old Profec which used a stepper motor. All HKS EVC units use a stepper motor except the EVC-S.

I have not personally installed an EVC-S but it is almost identical to a Greddy Profec B Spec II in the way it functions and it uses the exact same solenoid.

all use a 3 port solenoid manufactured by Denso. They even use the same electrical connector, which is coincidentally the same connector used for the OEM wastegate and precontrol solenoids. That Denso solenoid is functionally thesame as the AEM, Grimmspeed, and Haltech solenoids, which are manufactured by MAC. The ports are even arranged the same way.


Somebody post up that diagram that says version 1, version 2, etc. That's what you need to use. You have to decide whether you are going to eliminate the factory precontrol solenoid or not.
