Evans Coolant System
Looks like I'm not the only one going to the Evans coolant system (Large group buy) since I won't have my water pump till the 28th of Dec. and all my hoses, Keep me posted on any tricks you guys come up with to drain and fluch the cooling system out to get it as free of contaminates as possible (sounds like a PITA) I got my KOYO Radiator so will do everything at one time. The one thing I'd like to do is go with an electric water pump in the future. I know it helps to have the fans running after you shut the car down ...just imagine if you could circulate the water through the radiator while they were on !!!!

Flushing the cooling system
Does anyone on this forum have a good and efficent(spelling?) way to flush out the cooling system ??? Maybe found a good place to instal one of those prestone radiator flush kits ???

I am concerned about that, too. I haven't done it yet, but these are the tips I've picked up from reading the posts and thinking about how I will approach the problem...
You probably read the other thread, but it sounds like running pure Sierra (PG) coolant will dillute any water that is left in the system. Sierra is said to be much more compatible with NPG because it is also PG coolant, as opposed to the normal EG coolant that maost people use. There was also some mention of using compressed air to blow through the system, and I imagine that making the engine warm or using warm air to blow through would also help evaporate and then ventilate more water out of the engine. I wonder if anyone has tried hooking up a hair dryer for while to heat the engine and blow the water out? Don't forget to drain (and possibly blow) the heater core or other places water may linger.
