It doesn't even get cold enough here in AZ to make a huge difference

I run Evans NPG+ at 0psi and recently my AST cracked in half. This is my second AST failure, I want to ditch the damn thing so I guess I'll do the elimination mod.
What temps are considered normal or safe with NPG+?
I have a PowerFC and temps on a cool day on the freeway are 76-85C, in traffic on a hot day it will climb to 106-112C. When the AST broke it went to 120C.
Thanx!

120C = 248F WOW!

In traffic on a hot day in GA my coolant temp never goes over 98C (208F). And this is measured at the hottest point in the coolant path. The PFC reads engine temps from the stock sensor (coolant inside the block), should be slightly lower than the coolant exiting the block, and definitely not varying 44C (thats over 111 deg F!!)

I run a 7 psi cap initially to get rid of any water residual. Ended up keeping it on.
Evans actually recommends running a very low pressure cap as opposed to a 0 psi cap, or at least they recommended that to me.

no worries on teh rubber cap/throttle body coolnat lines comments guys, i know its not directed towards me, and i agree, the mods is good but the execution on it was not very good, the person who did it should have used somthgin better than a feeble rubber cap, either full on bolted closed or a silid line bolted closed. either way, its fixed now :-)
