Esprit 052S Wing vs Feed GTIII

So, looking to revamp the car with some additional downforce.

I'm curious if anybody has had any experience with the Esprit 052S wing. Specifically the mounting.

My main concern with APR and other GT wings is the necessity to drill additional holes in the hatch (that may overlap with existing r1/r2 spoiler holes). I think the FEED GTIII wing uses existing holes and it must offer some level of performance given the shop cars performance.

The Esprit is interesting because the 052S stands look like they have a "pad" at the bottom. Instead of just mounting at the two holes near the edge, the footprint of the stand is more like a triangle. I don't know if a third bolt is utilized but it looks like the stands should distribute the load better across a wider area of the hatch, rather than just at the edges.

in terms of the foil profile, honestly no clue on which one is more efficient.

The Esprit has been known to deform the hatch, but that may be remedy-able with underside reinforcement.

APR will make your stancions a custom width for no charge, so you can line up the rear holes as I did on my GT250. However, the front holes are directly parallel, not splayed like the factory holes, so the front required extra holes that are covered when my '99 wing is on. I put some big fender washers underneath, with spacers such that it gets a grip on the stronger frame ribs in the hatch, not just the thin sheet metal, so it can't deform the hatch. I feel like a more artful version of that could be made for any wing.

Thanks for the input! Yea, it seems everyone with any of the JDM GT Wings tend to experience some sort of deformation on the hatch. Maybe with the exception of the RE GT-II wings, which mirror the GTC Wing, with the stands that sit more inboard from the edge of the hatch.

I'm taking a look at the Super Now GT Wing blocks, that bolt onto the inner chassis of the rear fenders. You'd have to cut the edge of the hatch to make room but doesn't seem like it would compromise the water proofing at all.
But with that, there are a couple questions since it seems like there're two styles, Fender Line and Straight Line.
Pure speculation but the Straight Line looks like the same kind of mounting setup as the RE GT-III wings, where the Fender Line blocks might be for the FEED/Esprit wing styles (where the wing stands follow the line of the fender).
I'm also not sure if the Super Now blocks require the Super Now wing stands, and if that spacing would line up with the FEED foil...
I suppose the guaranteed fitment would be the Super Now Wing Blocks + Super Now Wing Stands + APR wing, with a custom stand width.

The Esprit FRP wing is actually pretty reasonably priced option if you are in the market for an 1800 mm wing. Hmm…

I just received the 052 1640mm in dry carbon. Excellent value, quality is very high and received faster than promised. As far as the stands go, on mine it appears they are billet with 4-5mm 'steps.' Although I won't be able to share my experience with the install as I don't intend on using them and instead have either the wing chassis mounted or with amg gt trunk style pedestals.

that's sweet! I don't think RHD has adjusted the pricing of the parts to account for USD vs Yen exchange rates so it's definitely discounted right now to get some parts.

I wish the vendor sites would provide a bit more info on the products.
I'm guessing the 052S and the 052 are similar foils but with different stands?

I've decided to go the RE GT II route to make sure I can use the Super Now fender blocks for chassis mounting, i think his car uses that wing specifically. I had actually originally ordered a GTIII RE wing last year from their US site but that left a bad taste in my mouth after absolutely no confirmations or updates in 3 months even after multiple emails, calls and I had my buddy in Japan write and reach out. Turns out the Japanese shop basically said they don't know what's going on at all from the US site.
RHD japan has always been consistent though and I think they go through the Japanese shop so hopefully the order gets fulfilled in that 180 lead time frame

My buddy just ordered the FEED wind from RHD Japan this year. It came super quick, and was a great deal. Looks sick on his FD too!
