Engine & Turbo: What should I offer

Hey Guys,
So I am in a bit of a dillema...I am very close to getting a rebuild and was headed to Gotham City in about 6-8 weeks to have that done. I am going to need a engine & turbo rebuild.

A friend of mine wrecked his 7 about a couple of months back...He has just broke in a RP rebuild...800 miles on it and wrecked it...it has an Apexi RX6 turbo kit. Not too sure how many miles on it though.

I am thinking of getting the turbo kit or the engine or both....

The damage to the car is pretty bad but didn't seem to affect the engine at all.

what do you think I should look for on it and if it's a go, what should I offer...

I figure I may end up spending around 7k for my turbos and engine rebuild...If I can save some money here I will....if not then I guess I will just go ahead and rebuild my twins and get my engine rebuilt...

Anyway, let me know what you think.

David

Was the engine ported or just rebuilt?

If it's just a standard rebuild, I would say the engine is worth about $2200-2500.

As for the tubro, the Apexi RX6 retails for around $3500. Depending on how old the kit is, anywhere from $2500-3100.

Well, I would say around $3000 or so for the engine (as long as it's not damaged).

Well, none of the frame bent in even far enough to affect the M2 IC...Lots of space around the engine...Can it get affected from being shook up...Like have a concussion or somthing?

Just a follow up...My buddy decided to keep it (bastard) and ended up putting it into a silver 93 touring.

I on the other hand, picked up a GT35/40 kit from Lane_Change. All left now is BOV and rebuild....

Thanks all for you help and cosider this thread closed.
