Engine rebuild parts, whats needed

Done a search but most talk is about seals and not specific.

Rebuilding my engine in the next month so need to order the parts.

If I get the atkins gasket kit will that sort me for the gasket side of things???

Also does the rotor kit include all the seals for the rotor and the springs???

What else would I need, I havn't took them engine apart yet so dont know if there is other damage, to be honest I think I have a coolent leak so thats why I have no compression on one rotor but I'll not know till I get it apart to see if I'll need a new housing or rotor.

What about bearings and stuff??

Is there a list of parts someone has to do a FULL rebuild.

The FSM has all the parts listed.

Honestly, you really won't know what you need until you pull it apart and find out what's reuseable and what isn't.

Obvisously, if the engine has a lot of miles you'll want to replace all the seals. Any of the rebuild kits will take care of that part. With the rebuild kit, you'll need a gasket kit.

But what do you get in the rebuild kit??? Is it just seals??

So you saying just 1x rebuild kit and 1x gasket kit???

And I know what your saying I can use re-some parts, but I'd rather replace most of it that wears to be safe. Apart from the rotors and housings unless I have to.

Say for example a $5 gasket or bearing I'm not bothered about replacing.

Best thing to do is search and talk to a engine builder. You can also get the rebuild video, http://www.rotaryaviation.com/overhaul_video.htm. Good luck.

I have never rebuild my engine but I have hear from people who did that the best apex seals is the oem mazda because each apex seal are 2 parts so it have very little diastole , systole unlike after market who is one part.
Also I have hear that the best gasket are not mazda oem but after market gasket.

Well it is either atkins or RA that I use. More likley to be RA.

Heres the atkins gasket kit

Apart from the rotor seals, whats the difference in the kit as the atkins looks to have more gaskets or is it just me.

It looks like that kit is showing coolant o-rings (which should be included in a rebuild kit).
