Engine Lock
Heres the situation.
I just performed the vacuum hose replacement. After a few times of getting it back together (Nipple snapped under pressure, hose popped off) It started just fine. The third time I had to take the alternator off to get to the purge control to put the hose from there to the catch tank bank on and tie it off (That doesn't seem to fit very well either) After replacing the alternator and the rest of the piping I got in and stuck in the key
"Click"
It was just a loud click. First thought was the battery. Took it and had it tested. It was a bad battery. I bought a new one and stuck it in.
"Click"
Starter. Got some people together, pushed it up the hill to the road and tried push starting it 2nd gear-4th gear and all that would happen is I locked up the tires. We pushed it back and tried turning the E-shaft both directions. Nothing. Won't move. Neither will the P/S. My mom was inside the car and she noticed with the key on for a long period of time it would goto a continuos chime.
My dad seems to think it could be compression locked. Anyone agree? Anyone have any ideas, because I'm out.

The same thing (almost) happenned to me.
I was running around doing some shopping. The car was fine no probs. Got to the store, finished my shopping, got in the FD tried to start it. Then I heard this awful noise, just like metal twisting or something. The car never officially started. I thought (is more like wishful thinking) maybe my alternator was bad so I tried to push start it. I couldn't cause my wheels were locked. The same as you. Later I took it to the mechanic, they told me that my engine was gone. I had no compression on second rotor, yad, yada, yada...
I still need to tear down my engine to figure out exactly what happened. As far as I know that is not the typical way engines die. I've heard different scenarios where maybe my fuel pump died or fuel filter got plugged and so when i started it went lean and boom. Besides my engine had 108k so I guess it was bound to happen.
Hope that you have better luck though.

don't race, don't need to
My FC did this. I couldn't turn the E-shaft no matter WHAT I did! Turned out the apex seal was snapped in half and had locked the rotor against the pinch in the rotor housing.
So I bought an FD. No problems since...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I'm very sorry, but you may be out an engine. There's an outside chance it's just carbon locked, where there is carbon build up under the apex seal and it cannot get back down into the groove. I've heard stories of using an opposite wound starter motor to force the engine to counter-rotate, then automatic tranny fluid flushing the combustion chambers to loosen and remove the carbon. But the counter rotate usually causes a big scar on the rotor housing, so you end up replacing the engine anyway. Ouch...
