Ok I'v searched around an tried a couple of things none to really help but earliar today while at a light, my 94 FD all of a sudden started to idle roughly an shake an then the engine simply died. after, the person behind me said for a few seconds an amount of white smoke came out the exhaust.

the car ran superb before and after it started up again. Could this be a bad coolant seal?

 

Or could this be my fuel pulsation dampner failing?

 

I would stall out like that when my coolant sensor was going, but it was never rough, and i'd been throwing a temp sensor CEL code every once in a while before it started stalling. I think it stalled when the fans came on because the temp sensor wasn't talking to the ECU.

 

Start with:

1. Pulling engine codes
2. Compression test

 

ha i found one of the hoses loose and corrected it. but there is still one more somewhere , im getting a compression test tommorow from the good guys at proto motoring =]
