Engine harness question

I am stripping down another engine ( EM ) harness for an Automatic and noticed a connector I have not seen before. I believe it to be an upgraded harness with a fan control box connector. The connector is black, with 5 wires. The connector was situated by the ECU. Now I know the previous owner had a reman installed and replaced the harness in 2002 so this may be the answer. The harness number is N3A2-18-05ZJ (21). The 1993 and 4 electrical manuals did not show this wiring schematic.

Anyone know if I am correct ?

thanks

The 93's used an addon harness to connect up the fan control box (with the recall). The 94+ had the wiring harness changed to include the connection for the fan control box, thus not requiring the addon harness.

I am thinking that after the 93s came out there was the upgrade recall for the fans. This recall installed a black box which I have seen on all my 93s. Then I "believe" that after the recall years that Mazda incorporated the new wiring to include this new connector.

Don't know for sure. anyway it's in the trashcan now.
