Exclamation Engine differences

My local Mazda dealer tried to inform me that the Auto, and Manual engine blocks are different for the 13bTT. Please tell me if this is true or not, hopefully it isn't true. He says they have physical differences and different part numbers through Mazda.

Please help

The end housing that the tranny mounts to is different. So a motor from an automatic could not be used in a 5-speed and vice versa. That's all I know for a fact.

You can use a auto motor in a 5sp car if your willing to use 4 out of 5 bolts in the bellhousing.

The rear housing is the only difference IIRC.-

It WILL NOT WORK the other way around. Can't put a 5sp motor in an auto car.
