You ARE replacing the engine!!!!!

A "core" is a term used for a part that is to be rebuilt. You send them your engine -- a "core" -- or you have to pay them a $900 core charge. They use your engine to rebuild it for the next customer.

I personally would not run a street-ported motor on the stock ecu. Also, you will need an intake, downpipe, hi-flow cat, cat-back exhaust, larger intercooler, and an ecu to really take advantage of a streetport.

Is your engine currently blown?

I was looking at their cores also...my engine just blew...what core would be most beneficial for a t-78, dp, high flow cat, exhaust, Pfc upgraded fuel system...etc?

Don't bother getting a new motor or "core" untill your motor blows. You only get about 20-30 rwhp from a mild streetport. Your money would be better spent on mods like an ECU, DP, MP or Hiflow cat, IC, HKS Ignition, etc.

I'm forced to get a new motor and I am getting a streetported motor. It's gonna cost me around $5000 total, including labor.
