My cei light has been on for a little while now and I just pulled the codes and got code 3 for crank position G and code 5 for knock sensor. I looked at the knock sensor and it seems to be hooked up correctly. I don't know how to check the crank position sensor? Any help on either of these would be apreciated.

 

i got a code 5 also and the check engine light is still on since this past December, the sensor seems connected correctly but the light is still on. The odd thing is when I turn my steering wheel the check engine light blinks on and off as if there is a misconnection...

 

Yeah has anyone fixed these problems?

 

My code 5 was definitely a disconnected knock sensor after performing the hose job. Put it together and PRESTO the CE light was gone! Maybe your sensor is bad? Anyone know how to check if it has gone bad?
