I am doing some research here to see which engine builder has the best warranty.

I also am basically trying to discover at what point the marketing scheme of providing a warrantied race motor became public.

The earliest account I can find of Pineapple Racing's 5yr warranty is early 2001. Someone prove me wrong, now!

 

i think pineapple is the only one that has a formal "warranty"

 

most companies have a 1 yr 12,000 mile on their warrenty when you ask them, but none I have seen are close to the pineapple 5 yr warrenty. I was tempted to get one but there are tons of local shops around and I didn't want to deal with shipping

 

I believe MAZDATRIX offers a warranty.

Atkins has a 2 year 25k mile warranty. I have one of their N/A engines in my girls FC. So far so good.( fingers crossed)16k on it now

 

keep in mind that NONE of these including pineapple will warrant the motor against a blow Apex seal, bad oring. The only thing they warrant them for are leaking oil and engine seizing.
