Engine bucked, CEL went on, what does it mean?

I haven't driven my 93 much in the last 2 yrs. Maybe 2000 mi total.
I took it for a spin yesterday and then again today.
Yesterday, when I was returning home, at around 2k rpm in 2nd gear, it started to buck, and the CEL went on, but when I stayed away from 2k rpm, it seemed to run mostly fine.
Today, I took it to work again just to see, because it started up fine. No problems on the way. Then, while returning, I was on an open road, and opened it up from the light just a little. I by the time I was in third, it bucked again, but I don't know at what rev's, and the CEL went on again. Also, the Oil Pressure gauge didn't go above 60 lbs. It didn't buck again, but it seemed just a small bit sputtery (if you know what I mean). It idles rock solid still. I'm concerned about the oil pressure as well as the bucking

I did some research and thought it might be the tps and that it needs adjustment. But do you think that is all it needs. Especially considering the oil pressure gauge?

Thanks for any feedback.

Oil pressure sender is not very reliable. I know on piston engines a cel that flashes indicates misfire. Obviously you know you have a misfire, but it might be difficult to find the culprit if it is an intermittent problem.

GROUND the *** out of that thing! Add a grounds to the ecu, engine, re-do the battery ground, and clean/tighten every other ground you find.

Doesn't sound like MAP line, but check that just in case.

Also, the tps is like a dimmer switch in your home. You can take them off and turn them every so slowly and the resistance should change smoothly on your volt meter. If you have bucking at different throttle positions then it is probably not the tps.

If the CEL went off, pull the codes. That's your first clue as to what's going on.
