Electrical System Short/Ground Problem and Texas Shop Recommendation Needed
Two questions for the price of one post! What a deal! Multiple sub questions thrown in as a free bonus.
Question one:
I have a ground/short somewhere in the car that is pulling the battery down overnight to the point of no dash-lights. This has to be quite a massive draw even though no fuses are being blown. I'm honestly not sure how to go about tracking down this issue, so any help will be... well... helpful. Are there common failing areas that will often ground out that I can test? Not even sure how to test this, so I'm quite out of my element. Most all searched electrical issues revolved around fuses being blown and such, I have not found anything that has pointed me to a solution.
The battery is new, and tested to be good under load. There is an occasional buzzing/continuous high pitched beep noise (very odd) coming from under the UIM after turning the car off with key in acc position, no idea if this is connected to the issue.
Question two:
After years of faithful service and bubble gum repairs, my baby has enough gremlins that she has become unreliable for daily driver purposes. This, unfortunately, will not do. I am looking for a recommendation on a Rx-7 shop located in Texas that will be able to (for the most part) be a one stop shop. With 97K miles, I assume it is a safe bet that a rebuild will be around the corner, might as well take care of this now before it is really needed. There are a few other issues with the car as well, so I'm looking for a place that will be able to repair/replace whatever is needed to be fixed to return my baby to daily driver reliability.
The forums seem to recommend kantuning.com and rx7.com, however the feedback I read was quite dated. Are these still quality shops? Are they capable of correcting most issues past a rebuild? I am currently in Bryan/College Station, is there any highly recommended shop closer than Dallas (which is nearly 200 miles away)? I have not read the forum rules in years, so if promoting a particular shop will be considered advertisement or against a rule, please inbox me your recommendation.
I appreciate your time!

Contact Chris, Ari, and Mary over at RX7.com, (972) 530-3335. An amazing shop with honest and knowledgeable owners, and one of the only shops in the entire country I'd go to if I couldn't work on my own FD.

Good luck. Don't let the car's interior lights fool you... if the doors or hatch are open, the little orange light near the ignition key is usually on. I spent a lot of time chasing that thing down once (the current draw was about 0.1-0.2A, if I remember correctly). The actual drain on that car was some aftermarket relay wiring for HID headlights.
