Arrow Electrical question about welding while directly grounded to the FD frame

Is it ok to weld a part that is fasten to the chassis? I need to weld a part that is in a semi critical area, or at least initially tack its seams in place to make sure it holds dimensional accuracy.

Will/could it damage any of the electronics?
I planed to disconnect the ecu and unplug the battery just as a precaution, but someone mentioned there might be a body module to worry about and I know the srs ecu is in there as well.

Is this even an issue?

I know that people have welded directly to a vehicle with out any changes or measures to protect electronics, I am just being extra cautious as I don’t know if that is a particularly good idea.

Not an issue, unless you burn a wire in-two, or you weld around fuel.
