Electrical problems

I have a question for all the electrical experts......

My car has recently developed a bad habit of complete electrical shut down. 90% of the time the car starts and runs great. The other 10%, well, I turn the key and the gauges light up for a split second, and then nothing. And I mean nothing. The gauges/lights are dead, no clicking of the starter, the interior dome light is out, windows stop working, the radio even loses it's power (radio station memory is gone). After about ten minutes, the car "resets" itself and everything starts working again and the car starts right up.

I've looked over the fuses and everything is fine, the factory alarm has been disconnected, so that isn't an issue. I'm kind of at a loss. Could a relay be going bad?

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike
