egt or save for wideband

i found a greddy 60mm egt for $100. i was wondering is it worth buying the gauge right now, or should i wait to buy a wideband? wouldnt having a wideband make the egt pretty much useless or not needed since you can get an idea of exhaust temps by a/f ratios

If you are "tuning" an ECU, a wideband is the only way to go.

Then at this point, both gauges are really useless for what you have.
