EGT (Exhaust Gas Tempetature) and where to locate the probe??

EGT (Exhaust Gas Tempetature) and where to locate the probe??
Ok I have use the search tab to look where to find this information without resoluts.
I need to know the maximus EGT , and in the place that you have install the probe to messure it. In my case I have install it just before the turbo , meaby 4 inches behind.
Cause in some cases they say that the max temperature should be 1650°f and other cases they say that it should be 1400°F , so please let me know the safe range , to tune up the ignition correctly and don't blow my engine.
In case I use my RX-7 for top speed and not for 1/4 mile, it is street ported big intercooler , to4e single turbo convertion , 3mmm aphex seals , AEM EMS ecu, lots of mods. But i know that the max exhaust temperature , should be the same for all the turbo rotary engines.
