EGR on California spec car
I have a 93 california car with the special EGR valve
"California spec cars and cars manufactured in 1994 have an electrical sensor on the EGR valve that reports the valve's position to the ECU that will cause the Check Engine light to illuminate if you disable it. "
I just plugged to two holes suggested on the forum link below. Is this enough to override the EGR ?
http://www.robrobinette.com/egr.htm
also,
After removing this I have very poor boost response now in all gears, could plugging the EGR valve holes be the cause of my new boost problem?
Before I could get great boost 3rd,4th,5th and 2nd.1st would be a little low.
But now it seems to have moved to all the gears... =(
