you use the O-ring gasket for the pipe that goes into the turbo outlet pipe...one gasket attaches to the turbo/turbo outlet pipe, and the other goes to the bottom half to the top half of the Y-pipe...I hope that helps. The pipe that you slip the end into has to come off and one of the gaskets goes there is what I am trying to say.

The small gaskets are for the outlets from the turbos. The large gasket goes on top where the two pipes bolt together. Don't put the two smaller gaskets together.

When you take it apart, you will see where they go. You will need to pull the air pump to remove the front y-pipe tube.

no you do not have to take the air pump off. well....maybe you do. I installed mine when I was taking my air pump off so it was a lot easier. But im pretty sure you can take it off without removing the air pump. Do you have the stock pre-cat?

I had to take my air pump off. One of the studs didn't come out of the compressor housing either. What a PITA!!!! Anyway, the o-ring is described above. The large gasket goes between the y-pipe and the crossover pipe. One of the small gaskets goes between the compressor outlet to its y-pipe couterpart. The other gasket goes between the primary turbo inlet and its intake pipe. At least, that's where mine went.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would he have a problem getting to the outlet pipe on the secondary turbo? The biggest problem I had was a stuck stud I mentioned above. Otherwise, it was a pretty easy job. Air pump removal and all. I'm actually going to be doing a write up since I don't remember seeing one, but if there is, well, can't have too many right?

with the stock pre-cat in place im pretty sure it will be harder to reach. If I am wrong someone please tell me. The air pump is pretty easy to remove. It shouldn't take too long.

Here is a link to the y-pipe install

http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobinette/efini.htm

He doesn't mention removal of the air pump. Probably because he didn't have one on the car. I don't know how you can remove the y-pipe with the air pump on.

Ahhh...Robinette's site tells you to remove the secondary turbo's intake hard pipe.

<Keeping comments to myself>

I'm almost done. I'll post a link on this thread to the new one. I'll be probably Wed if not Thur. that it's posted...
