I have a toshiba laptop but no apexi power fc and commander. What do i need in order to make my car run ok instead of getting the apexi. Do i need to keep the laptop in the car at all times? What is the point of using your computer and the car!?!?!!!?

 

you cant hook your pc to a stock ecu. you need a pfc and datalogit to be able to tune the ecu. unless you know how to tune i wouldnt recommend screwing around

 

its mostly the fact im short of funds and dont want to buy the pwr fc and figured if i had a laptop i could get away with something......but yea i never win

 

If you are so low on funds, quit modding the fricking car. I don't know why that thought never occurs to people...

 

If money is an issue, there are less expensive options to the PFC such as M2 or Pettit's ECU upgrade for ~$700, ~$400 used.

And who is that? The cheapest that I've seen it anywhere brand new, and trust me, I've checked everywhere, is $850 for the PFC alone, and $1199 for the PFC + Commander.

 

Just keep your laptop in the car all the time, you don't even have to connect it to anything, it just automatically makes it run right by using wireless technology. It establishes a multicublaroctic connection and begins tuning your microde intakes.

btw, ALWAYS keep it up when you're racing. That way you'll know when there's danger to the manifold.

 

Yeah and when you blow your motor it will hit the reset button for you automatically so you can ditch the cops.
