ECU Problem
So, this morning the FD won't start. It's got a PFC installed and has been running flawlessly. I noticed that the PFC commander would not light up as I was trying to get the car to start.
Well I tried everything normal thinking it was a standard fuel/spark issue. Pulled the plugs, relay.. blah blah. The whole thing.
Still didn't work. After a good hour or so.... I figured there might be ECU problems b/c the commander wasn't lighting up. So I swapped back in the old ECU. Still no start.
Come upstairs to post in the PFC forum and go back downstairs and the PFC commander is elluminated.
It's gotta be some sort of electrical problem going to the ECU. Does anyone know of any possible culprits that would cause a short like this to the ECU? Could it be the EGI Main Relay... or even the Ignitor? Kinda perplexed.
ANY help would be grateful.

You might be dealing with two separate issues. My commander spontaneously went blank a while back for no apparent reason...similar to what you describe. But the car still ran normally and it ended up just being a very sensitive connection where it plugs in.
My screen will blank out from time to time due to the connection gettin bumped , sometimes it will display the info without the green backlight due to this aswell
never cause the car not to start though.
like stated above it looks like u have another issue causing the car not to start.

yeah, it's definately not the pfc. anyone know what pins to check for power coming to the ecu and what voltage that should be. i've been looking at the FSM and the wiring manual all day and can't find one page about the wiring to the ECU and/or the circuit.
very annoying. probably right in front of me but I can't seem to locate it.
anyone know if there's a way to run a new wire from x to y and bypass any potential problems? I'm also up to wiring a new ground.
