I have just bought a 1996 RX7 RS, very happy with the car! I was looking for the ECU inside the car, and I found out the code on the ECU is N3F1.

Now a friend of mine has a Blitz ECU for the 4th generation RX7 just as mine, but the code on it is N3A7. Will it work on my car? And will it be safe to use? My mods are Front Mount Intercooler and uprated clutch only.

Thanks for your help

The N3A7 prefix is on the pre 12/95 RHD cars over here.

Your N3F1 would identify it as a S7, version IV or whatever descriptor you prefer. Looking at your mate's ECU from the plug side should make compatibility readily apparent.

Here's examples
