Lightbulb Eating Fenders likes its candy..... mmmm ...

So just installed a new suspension on the FD this weekend.. and wow I love it.. but I have a problem.. well more like a nit pic..

Ok, first to sum it up. New springs (racing beat), new struts (tokico illumina), new bump stops (mazda oem), new tires (pirelli p6000's), *cough* stock rims*

Just had the car alligned... everything is perfect.

HOWEVER.. on hard turns its good.. but not great. I'm still able to pull hard enough that I can hear the front tires get pusshed a bit to hard and eat the fender well a bit.. a slight rub. Now this isn't terrible since I am pushing it really really hard. But wanted your 2cp.

I've seached some didn't see anything... So any ideas? Would a new swaybar front and rear help? That will decrease body roll.. do you think that would be enough to help the spring compression?

Post your info on what you've found, love to hear your opinions.

I'm on stock wheels, stock springs, Konis and a big front sway bar. In competition on race tires I will catch the fender lip on occasion but only with the wheels at full lock and the front end compressed to the bumpstops. I hit only the front of the fender lip; about 10 o'clock on the driver side and 2 o'clock on the passenger side. This is with nearly 2 degrees of negative camber.

I just went through the same exercise except I used the following:

Eibach Pro Springs (1" lower all around)
Tokico Illumina 5 way Adj. (currently set at 2 front and 3 rear)
Racing Beat Front and Rear Sway Bars
Racing Beat Front Sway Bar Brace

No rubbing what so ever now! And damn it handles great! Ride is slight harsher than "stock"

roll your fenders with a wooden baseball bat: just make sure to heat up the paint a bit so that it does not crack

if you got really nice paint, take it to someplace that can roll your fenders with a fender roller (haha i have no clue what it is called but it attaches to your wheel hubs and has a urathane roller on the end.)

WOW thanks for the info guys... I thought RB was the way to go since they were so awesome on my FB... oh well rolling the fenders will help I guess. In 10k miles we'll see if I have bumpstops again.. since I already seem to be riding them in the turns again.
