Earliest Secondary Turbo should open

LoL , I'm thinking of playing around with when my secondary Turbo opens ,

People in none sequential Mode say they reach max spool by 3500 rpms ,

so has anyone tried making the sequential Using an aftermarket ECU open up at 3500 , rather then 4k .

and if you have what can you tell me about it?

Since I'd need to invest some money into getting this done . before I do I'd like to get some opinions

I always drop the sequential transition point in the PowerFC. I think I have a post on what RPM in the PFC forum.

If you find the sweet spot, you have NO transition. I have an uninterrupted power band all the way across with no dip or spike.

Just play around with the settings, it's easy to do with the Datalogit and the PowerFC.

Also, it's no big deal to adjust it with the Datalogit. Just change the settings, try it out, change again.

I*think* my transition is around 4100 RPM.

I believe Mazda put the transition up a bit so you "feel" the second turbo come on. That's a big marketing thing - salesman takes you on the test drive, "hey, you can feel that twin turbo kicking on!". While it's neat, it isn't the most efficient way, you're leaving power on the table.

my transition is at 4k , i still FEEL it kick up LOL and I have my primary boosting 1 psi over the secondary to try and smoothen it out . at 64% wastegate duty ,

and my issue was my laptop blew up , and I still dont have a datalogit of my own. (I borrow one from a friend who ironicly his laptop is bad as well) haha .

I read on your thread on the PFC forums that you had it at 3500 , was that to soon? since you upped it to 4k.
