E-brake light comes on at full throtle ?¿? wtf?¿?

Hey guys first off i want to thank anybody taking their time to help me out with this.. im new in the forum and i need some explanation on this thing i noticed a few days ago on my fd .. whenever i speed up at full throttlle my hand brake or e-brake light comes on right arround the 4000 RPM mark and stays on until i let go of the gas.. i dont really know if thats supposed to happen or if its telling something is wrong or even how long its been doing that for .. i live in new england and it had been parked in the garage for a while and i took it out this weekend and just noticed that so i really cant tell for how long its doing that.. the brakes work fine they're in good condition as far as i know.. the e-brake is a lil lower than it normally is but still it doesnt make any sense for that light to come up when im speeding up at full throttle..
If any one can help me on that or has seen that before please let me know what is going on cause i dont really feel like taking it for a diagnose to have them tell me its nothing or whatever ..
The other thing is .. I have just recently changed my shocks and strut mounts and to brand new KYB shocks and OEM Mazda strut mounts.. its a real smooth ride now but it has an irritating squeaking sound that didnt exist before.. im wondering what it could be .. my mechanic said it was the bushing on the lower control arms or the toe link i dont know .. but it only started the squeaking after i put the new shocks and mounts int .. so i dont know if its really the bushing or if he messed up on the install somewhere .. any tips on that id really appreciate to!!
Thanks
Stephan

Very simple - Your parking brake switch needs to be removed and cleaned/adjusted. Go to page P-35 on the 1993 green manual and all secrets will be revealed.

If cleaning brake switch doesn't fix the problem check the brake fluid level. This is just another option.

Well. Watch your E-Brake leve - it lifts up from acceleration - therefore light..

have you checked your brake fluid level? that light also comes on when the brake fluid is too low. your acceleration maybe causing the fluid to bunch up on the back side of the reservoir triggering the light.

Most of the time it's the E-brake adjustment, but good point - eliminate the MC level first then proceed to the ebrake.

Report back on root cause.

Check your rear pads. Past about half-life, replace and see what you get.

Another vote for the fluid level. My light started coming on under full throttle launches and it was because of low fluid due to the fact that my brake pads were getting low.

Thanks everyone .. it seemed the brake fluid was a little low indeed .. it was just a little above the min line so i gues what azn akira said was right .. it seemed to have stopped at least for now .. if it comes back any time soon i'll check the park brake switch .. Again thanks a lot for the help .. And uh .. about the noise in the suspension any one got to read that and has something to say about what that squeaking noise could be ..
Appreciate it everyone.
