Any chance of testing with the DP, intake and stock catback? Great thread so far.

Stock parts will not be added back to this car for alternate combos. Perhaps in the future I will update this thread with dyno sheets from other cars with different combos of similar parts.

I have decided to add the SMIC before the PFC, just so that I do not have to retune the car multiple times. The HKS twin power will be needed once the boost is raised, so I will add that last.

I understand not wanting to do the extra work. Dont blame you. Was just curious what the intake alone would do.

Fantastic thread! Thanks for doing this!

One question, is it safe to run a stock ECM with all those mods, or is it okay as long as you are running stock boost?

Great thread.

I'm also interested in how much the afr has changed with these mods on the standard ecu.

The AFR's with the Intake, DP & Catback with the stock ECU remained safe in the low 11's. I should mention that we had installed a Walbro 255 back when we were doing the initial repairs and DP install earlier this year. I can't say that the stock pump would yield the same results.

Impressive, coming from modern cars where simple bolt ons like those just make the car louder its hard to believe. Nonetheless keep the good work guys!

Decided to do a pull with the SMIC installed to see if there were any remarkable gains. Turns out we picked up about 5 rwhp. The AFR's stayed safe in the mid 11's. The SMIC is a thicker all aluminum unit that mounts in the stock location, our customer did not want to deal with having a drycell inside the car, so we were very limited in selection. I believe this came from rx7.com a few years ago. We initially had it in our automatic shop car, painted it black for the stock appearance.

Do you think you could talk your customer into adding an Efini y-pipe? Would be interested to see what that does.

Installed the PFC and our 94-95 commander holder. This is the dyno from the preloaded Apexi map, with everything enabled including O2 feedback. The car made 295rwhp/254tq, a 15hp gain. The spike at transition is completely gone since the PFC has far better boost control capabilities. As expected the peak torque came down some but is a better measure of the true reading. The only issue is that the map is on the lean side with full boost into the 12's.

Get this thing tuned now so we can see the difference between the stock PFC map and a tune PFC map. Im willing to bet another 10-15hp will come out of it.

Cleaned up the AFR's and timing. Kept the boost the same and the car made 317rwhp/268tq an increase of 23hp & 14tq. Next I will install the HKS twin power and see what is left before an injector upgrade is needed.

That may make more power than my dyno can handle
