Dumping fuel and gas Prices are HIGH!

So here's the deal. Just had a new street ported motor from Pettit put in about a month ago I got it back. The car is just swallowing gas. If I don't go WOT it doesn't seem too bad but if I do it gets horrible and actually releases a large cloud of smoke behind me. And sometimes if I come to a stop it will continue to spew smoke. Thinking it might be the injectors I am now running some Lucas Tune-up and injector cleaner through them but still I am at a loss for words as to how much fuel it is wasting. I make my best attempts not to drive much at all. Has anyone else had this problem? Here is another thread where I mentioned this but was asking specifically for help finding a shop to tune the car.https://www.rx7club.com/se-rx-7-forum-35/new-ga-fl-area-need-help-776088/

Do the resistance checks on the injectors per the FSM. Any nasty fuel smells from under the hood? No puddles? Has it been doing this since day 1 when you got it back?

Bad tune could do it. Get at least a decent base map.

get a tune. most base maps loaded onto application specific ECU's have the tune on the safe side of things ie; slobbery rich a/f

so tuning would yield much more power and better fuel economy(sometimes this can't even help)
