Dual oil cooler lines part numbers (searched)

I have two oil coolers on my R1, but for some reasons the previous owner saw fit to run only lines to the driver side duct - so I need the two lines from the dual setup. I basically need 14-830 and 14-7102 from the diagram below.

However, my passenger cooler has no connecting hardware so I was wondering if I also need two of the connectors of the type than come with the shorter line (14-850A in the diagram) or do the line ends (labelled Z in the diagram) simply slide on to the barbs?

I have a lot of the spare connectors. 14-850s, i thought I didn't have them so I ordered them all new. If you need them, send a PM over.

I will buy then off you if the person selling me the lines does not include them. Does each connector come with o-ring, clip and brass washer?

I think so. I'll have to double check, I think they're at my friend's house at the moment.

Did you find what you were looking for moconnor? Not to hijack your thread but, I think I need one 14-850A and I think a 99582-2200 that connects to it. My hose that connects to 'Y' has a screw-on conector and the piping connector 'Y' has a clam-on connector. Does this part allow a threaded connection to the hose?

How many do you have neofreak?

Confused - Y has both a screw-on and a 'clam on' connection? What is a 'clam on' connection?

sorry, my batteries in my wireless kbd are dying. :| clamP-on connection or snap-on or something. (see pic) The letter 'Y' is used in the diagram at the point of connection - not specifically for either connector. Anyway, my oil line will reach the connector, but the line has a threaded connector on it and there is nothing to screw onto on the hardline.

So basically you think that connector 14-850 screws into the threaded oil line and clamps on the the hose end you pictured?

However, the oil cooler lines are barbed if I recall correctly so this connector will not work there. I think I need to pull off my driver side dust shield this weekend and see how the driver cooler is attached.

I bought a complete set of all the connectors for both sides of the car. I'll have to confirm what I have this weekend.

moconnor, yes, that is what I am thinking. My oil line looks stock and this is the only way I can figure out to connect them. Just to clarify, that pic is of the connector on 14-830.

It is surprising that you have an R1 without 14-830. Is the 2nd oil cooler sitting there with no lines?

Surprised me too. I realized soon after buying the car that the ducts were missing but I was in no hurry ro replace them because my water temperatures never get close to 90C even in summer so I assumed my oil temperatures were fine too. I only noticed last weekend when finally getting around to installing the ducts. The second cooler is sitting there with uncapped barbs. Why the last owner (astually I suspect the one before because the last owner did not work on the car) would use lines from a single setup is beyond me.

Well, if they bought a rebuilt motor, it would come with a line already attached for the single oil cooler. But it is more of a chore to replace 14-830 hard lines than it is to replace the hose from the oil pan.

I didn't realize that rebuilds come with oil lines.

For reference, here is the single setup (from an old thread by DamonB):
