while i was replasing some vaclines i vas dumb enough to rip of the wire to the o2 censor,, thought i hed really done it, but the car runs just fine,,
i have pfc, do i really need the o2?
dont know if it is related but seems like i have meen getting worse miles per gallon,

is it dangerous to drive vithout it?
the thing is, ,i want to solder the wire back on, but it is so damn hard to get to the censor,, hov do i get it out? from above of from beneath??

take out the air intake parts and its easy to get to.

it will definately affect gas mileage. not sure with PFC though. no reason not to use it for street driving.

I ran with my o2 sensor off for a while, but recently put it back on, and it seems like I am getting better gas mileage now and the car is smoking less during startup.

You don't need the O2 sensor, but it does effect gas mileage a bit. If you don't have a standalone ECU you'll also probably get a check engine from time to time as well especially when cruising on the highway maintaining a certain engine speed...

With you having a PFC, you don't really need the 02 sensor. There is a setting to turn the 02 feedback off.

yeah its under the Settings 1 tab, right below the boost control section.....make sure that the O2 F/B Control is unchecked and you will not have any problems
