Question driveshaft question?

I have a strange question, but does anybody how much free play there should be between the differential flange and driveshaft? Iam asking because I have a 1jz swap in my fd and I think my driveshaft is a tad long and I only have 3/8" of space when I bolt it up.
Thanks

Your rear end doesn't move. You shouldn't worry about it as long as it isn't jammed up against your output shaft.
That is my opinion of course.

Anyways yeah I would think 3/8 should be fine but don't take my word for it as I don't know for sure.

I havent been able to find any info with this type of differential. I know moving differentials need to have a least 3/4 inch driveshaft travel.
I never had the stock driveshaft to for this car to measure the freeplay .
The small pinion bearing in the differential took a crap and spun the race in the housing. Looks like it starved of oil or had too much preload. So will need to get another differential and I wanted to rule out the driveshaft as one of the culprits.
