Anyone know how to get the driver window stuck down i believe my harness is bad and my window is stuck down and i need it up. Ive taken off the door panel and have no slight clue of how to get the window back up any help would be appreciated..By the way the search came up with little results ....Thanks

 

That happen to me...

the window Switch has to come off... Just use a flat to pop it out.. Then there should be 4 screws on the back of the console.. Unscrew those screws, and take the window console off...AFter there should be two spring on both side. The one on the left is to roll up or down the Drivers window, and the spring on the left is for the Passenger Window. Play with it... If it Still doesn't work than it could be your harness. They cost like around 125.00 use, and 200.00 for new.

Mine won't roll down..
I noticed I'm not getting any power to the fuse box to power them... I got a printout from the roadshop at my work and noticed that the windows are reverse polarity... but giving them power should not hurt... go get a tester light and see if your getting power there... then use a pocket knife to pop out the drivers window switch... then take the tester light to that... finding a constant power, then checking both sides of the circuit board inside the switch w/ the light... if one does not light up like the other... i.e. pull switch up and lights... then bridge the connection to at least get the window up untill you get a new switch.

i still think its the switch though.

go to iluvmyrx7 for the factory service manual to learn how to remove the window if you want.

 

the search listed nothing revelant to putting the window up without using the motor.

 

By the way i replaced the swithc from my other workin switch on my other rx7 and nothing still has to be the harness or the motor

 

gotcha. check the fuse perhaps. if it is the motor, i would think that it would still get power and the motor would make some kind of noise like it was trying to move the window or you might hear power being switched on/off.

 

fuse is good anyone know how to release the cable ive got the panel off and the speaker out i just need to know how to release the cable so i can move the window up otherwise im just goin to take the window off the guide then figure out from there

 

Got the window out and the motor and support thing out i unbolted the window then removed the window then it was a simple thing from there...
