drivers side motor mount nub/oil leak- space it or mill it off?

Just went to investigate the dreaded post engine rebuild oil pan leak and see that my reman has a 10 mm pan bolt contacting the nubbin on the aluminum drivers side motor mount, which is preventing the mount from sitting flat on the pan, hence the oil leak. I read in the archives some people put a spacer between the motor mount bolts and the pan so the nubbin doesn't interfere with this bolt, but anybody see any problem with just milling off the nubbin? My intercooler tubes run really close to the strut brace I have and it would be nice to have the engine 3/16" lower than 3/16" higher!

I milled a recess for the bolt head, everything fits and the motor sits nice and low, plenty of IC tubing clearance now.

I imagine you could also use a button-head fastener that would be more low profile. Haven't fooled with motor mounts much yet, though .

Glad you solved it!
