Driver headlight works but is very dim

So yesterday I took of the HIDs off that came with the car. When they were on, the driver side couldn't fire fully, it would just flicker. Put the stock popups back on and am now realizing that the problem is not with the light but with the car. As the title says, it comes on and stays on but it is very dim, passenger side works fine. I searched but found no results. Anyone have any ideas about where to start?

It has to be bad wiring. Check the current on the power wire to the bad headlight with an ohm meter, and compare it to the power wire to the good headlight.

Could also be a bad ground for that headlight.

It's really dim i.e zero projection. It only illuminates the lens basically. Not even close to what the stock lights should look like
