drive belt without air pump
Is it possible to buy a new belt to run just the alternator and the water pump, or will i have to buy the greddy pulley kit to do this mod?
29-30 inch 5-rib belt, or the closest you can get to it. gates and dayco (kragen/grand/checker auto stores) both make 29" 5-ribs.
i am running a dayco 30" 3-rib temporarily, but it is narrow so theres less contact with the tangent water pump pulley. i still have to get around to putting on the 29" that i just ordered, so ill fill you in with the fit later this week. i think it will be tight and some work to get on, but a good fit after that.
be careful tightening the alternator adjustment bolt if you get anything on the longer side, i had a 30.5 (which was too long FYI) originally, and i snapped that long *** bolt trying to make it tighter than the bracket allowed. that was more of a pain in the *** to find a replacement for than the belt was.

The Greddy pulley kit comes with the belt. Or at least mine did. You can also buy replacement belts from www.k2rd.com
