Sled Driver,

I really like you dead peddele, it matches almost perfect. I really think you need to make one for the gas peddle. I don't like the mazda OEM gas, i think yours looks a lot better. I will buy a set if you decide to make both.

I agree the Gas Pedals isn't a good match

I comtemplated making a gas pedal, but it really does need to have a smooth finish so your shoe slides along it when to gas it. Otherwise it make hang up on your shoe if you have it floored & back off.
I can make a proto type & try it. I just don't want anyone to bend up their 7 cause of me.

Correct

Yes, I used Pop rivets to install it. The heads are flush & smaler. I also have an option with screws & nuts, but you have to remove the pedal to install the cover. With pop rivets you don't have to remove the pedal. You can drill it & install the rivets with the pedal installed.
IM working on etching "RX7" in 1 inch letters, vertically down the pedal, surrounded by the dimples. Should have the pedal & a photo ready early next week.

Also going to make a copy of the J-Spec passenger foot rest. It goes all the way across the passenger foot well. See one of my post for a photo of the J-spec car.
It will also be dimpled, but with larger holes, 1 inch.

I will offer a set price if it turns out good.

Thanks for your positive comments,
Emery

I saw your reply to my post about the J-Spec foot rest in the first post but didn't have time to reply. I'm very glad your making it, I will definitely buy a set when your ready. One thing though, sit in the passenger seat and push your legs out so your feet are resting on the firewall, see how annoying that is? I'm assuming the J-Spec foot rest addressed this by being designed in a triangle shape to provide a better angle at which to rest your feet. I hope you can design it to provide that feature. Hopefully someone with a J-Spec FD will chime in with dimensions or pictures to copy from.

Passenger Foot Rest

I was looking into making the base of the passenger foot rest at an angle. I'll have to experiment & see what I can come up with.

It's going to be another week, or so, before I have photos. I'll keep everyone posted.
The 1 inch dimple holes, in a staggered pattern, look good. (I made a test piece) I think you'll be happy with the way it turns out.
Depending on how secure it is, IM going to try Velcro to hold it in place. Easy to remove to vacuum or remove the kick pnl, but sticks to carpet like glue. I put small strips on my passenger floormat & that sucker doesn't budge an inch!

Notice that little notch on top? I bet that's so it can clear the AC drain line, that'll be important.

You have a Choice

They will be ready to ship on Wednesday. The picture isn't the greatest, but I have two versions. One has "RX7" etched on it. The other is plain.
My email address is elkozak@hotmail.com
You can contact me for ordering info.
If your interested in the passenger footrest. I can ship them together & give you a package price (save on shipping).
Unfortunetly the passenger foot rest wont be available for another week, or so (depends how many orders I get).
They are custom made, one at a time, & test fitted on my car.
