Lightbulb Downpipe issues...HELP

My new downpipe fits very tight(corksport). It fits great on the studs etc, but it's a little bit shorter then stock. This moves my maincat back upwards towards the floor. The real fun occurs where the downpipe is now touching the turbo. If it's not touching it's so close the gap can't be bigger than a 1/16. My dp is heat treated, however can it be run with such a tight clearance? Has anyone else had these problems? What is the solution. I'm in the middle of the job now so if I don't respond I'll try as soon as I can.

Thanks

Touching the turbos shouldn't be a problem. The DP is made to withstand the exhaust temperatures, so touching the turbos won't hurt it.

yeah, not sure how its touching the turbo. As long as its not physically rubbing on the turbo over a period of time, you're all right IMO

Use two DP to turbo gaskets for the extra cleanance.

You guys just saved my life. This dp is huge! I think it's a true 3". When bolted to spec 36 ft lbs it was a pain in the ***, but it looks nice. I recommend this dp to anyone, but don't expect to torque the bottom bolt, it's just soooo tight. Maybe with the ceramic coating it just makes it that little bit thicker. Anyway thanks a million and back to wrenching!
