To disable the thermowax rod, all you need to do is use safety wire to adjust it or take of the spring and screw under the throttle body off, and then re install the screw without the spring. Correct?

 

I remove the complete thing and cut the shaft that the cam is on off as well .Then you must make a sleeve to go on the shaft to take the space on the throttle shaft to the TPS . To answer you ,just back the screw away from the cam and wire the cam back .

 

I used a large zip tie but I think M'Trix did the spring removal screw reinstall thing.
