Double throttle control solenoid,... plug it?

I broke the lower nipple on the double throttle control solenoid. I was going to take out the rack and replace it, but i searched and found out about just disabling the double throttle. however, the threads ive read say plug the hose on the firewall side. and the nipple i broke, feeds to the other side of the manifold.

so, if i plug the hose as all the other 'how to' threads say to do, what do i do with the lower nipple i broke off on the solenoid? plug it also? i really hope i can,...cause i stripped all 3 top screws on the rack, lol.

heres a picture.

Yes, plug it so that it doesn't create a vacuum leak when the solenoid is on.

You can remove the check valve and lines running from the top solenoid nipple to the manifold and plug it there, which will simplify and uncrowd things a little more.

If you aren't going to have any vacuum lines running to the solenoid, then there is nothing to leak. Just leave them open. Plug the nipple on the UIM and then remove the actuator.

well ,that makes sense. no ill affects to just leaing that way? the ecu doesnt see anything? im used to newer cars where EVERYTHING you chnage throws a CEL.

As long as the solenoid is still connected to the electrical connection on the harness, the ECU is happy.
